Its back to the bread and butter of league football this coming Saturday as Wood make the trip across London to take on Bromley.

Bromley like ourselves came up into the National League at the beginning of the 2015/16 season as they beat the Wood to the National League South title. Bromley hit the ground running and made a great start to the season securing their safety before Christmas, while Wood meanwhile left it to the final game of the season.

Though this season after replacing Mark Goldberg with Neil Smith the Ravens have made a slow start to the season. They currently occupy 17th spot and have accumulated 21 points from 18 games.

Bromley in recent seasons have been a bit of a bogey side, snatching an undeserved win in the 2014/15 season which gifted them the title. They also won 3-2 at Meadow Park early last year. That was the result that prompted Chairman Danny Hunter to take action and revert to a day-time training programme to bring the club closer to those Full time clubs. The rewards of this change are being seen this season as the Wood sit just 4 points from the play offs. That said a 2-1 victory courtesy of 2 Luke Howell goals gave Wood Gaffer Luke Garrard his first victory in the National league and will be hoping for much of the same again on Saturday.

Wood Gaffer Luke Garrard, should have a full squad to choose from barring Ricky Shakes who is still sidelined. It will certainly be as strong as squad as the Gaffer has had at his disposal all season, and will certainly give him a selection headache come Saturday.

A win for the Wood would keep them in touching distance of the top five, whilst three points for the home side will pull them clear of the cluster of teams at the bottom of the table.

As always your support is greatly appreciated and we hope as many of the Wood Army will make the trip to get behind Luke Garrard and his side
