After recently announcing stellar home friendlies against an Arsenal XI and QPR, four away fixtures can now be revealed.
The Wood will open their pre-season campaign against the Gunners on July 6 (3pm) at Meadow Park before taking on National League South side Hampton & Richmond Borough away from home on July 13 (3pm). The Beavers finished the 2018/19 season in 15th place accumulating 48 points from their 42 league matches.
Four days after welcoming Mark Warburton’s QPR side to WD6, Luke Garrard and his squad will travel to North London to face Isthmian Premier side Haringey Borough on Saturday July 20, 3pm.
Tom Loizou’s men narrowly missed out on promotion last season losing in the play-offs but it was still a memorable campaign finishing third as well as putting in a commendable display against AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup live on the BBC.
Next up is a midweek trip to Biggleswade Town on Tuesday July 23 where The Wood won 4-0 back in 2017. Known as The Waders, Town finished the 2018/19 season in 7th place in the Southern League Premier Division.
And finally, a week before the National League kicks off for another campaign, BWFC will take on Billericay Town on Saturday July 27, 3pm. The Vanarama NL South team narrowly missed out on a top seven finish last season but will certainly provide Wood with a stern test ahead of their final preparations.
