Boreham Wood Football Club wish to announce that due to the exciting news, that a strong Arsenal first team are coming to Meadow Park, we have now slightly re-arranged our home Pre-season programme.
Arsene Wenger’s decision to bring such a talented squad to Meadow Park on Saturday July 19th, 3pm and officially open our New West Stand has resulted in the game being all ticket and a sell-out is expected, with the likes of Ramsey, Arteta, Rosicky, Gibbs, Szczesny, Flamini, Monreal, Jenkinson, Diaby and Sanogo all expected to appear.
Former Arsenal player and now Boreham Wood boss Ian Allinson said “what a great day it will be for me, the players and the club and its sure to be a sell-out. I’m still proud of my affiliation with Arsenal 30 years on and for Arsene Wenger to open our new stand is a fantastic gesture on his behalf. I have nothing but great memories of my time at Highbury, I’m still an Arsenal fan, the supporters for me are the best in the world, so this news has literally made my week”.. He concluded.
