Boreham Wood are pleased to announce the signing of Osei Sankofa from Conference South rivals Farnborough. Osei joins Michael Jordan, Daryl McMahon and James Smith to become the fourth acquisition from Farnborough this close season.

Osei began his career at Charlton Athletic, making his debut in a 4-1 defeat to Manchester United. However, after being released by Charlton in the summer of 2008, he joined Southend United on a free transfer. Over his two year spell with the Strimpers, Osei racked up 39 appearances, notably playing in an F.A. Cup replay in front of 42,000 people at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.

Osei couldn’t hold down a permanent first team place and was subsequently released at the end of the 2009/10 season. During the 2010/11 season Osei played for Farnborough, who finished second in the Conference South, losing unfortunately to Ebbsfleet in the Play off final. Osei played 23 times, scoring one goal.

Over his Youth career, Osei represented England schoolboys at under 16, under 18 and under 19 levels.

Everyone at Boreham Wood are thrilled to welcome Osei to the club, and hope his stay with us is a long and successful one.
