Last week, the Boreham Wood Community Trust attended the National League Trust regional tournament held at St Albans City FC with the Club being represented by Fair Field Junior School and Woodlands School in the year 5/6 mixed and year 5/6 girls’ categories respectively.

Both School’s qualified for the National League Trust’s regional tournament having won our own Primary School tournaments held at the Club in late March.

Both teams represented the Club and the wider Borehamwood area amazingly with Fair Field advancing to the semi-finals before falling to hosts St Albans City, whereas Woodlands advanced to the final of the girls category, and although leading 1-0 at half-time, they were defeated by Dagenham & Redbridge 2-1 after extra time. Despite heartbreak in the final, a huge bonus saw Woodland’s Imani pick up the player of the tournament award for her fantastic efforts and great skill!

Academy Manager Connor Smith and Community Manager Nathan Hickey visited Woodlands School this week to present to team with their participation certificates and runners up medals in front of a whole School assembly, as well as presenting Imani with her player of the tournament award.

Well done to the players, teachers and staff at both Fair Field Junior School and Woodlands School!

OUR CLUB. OUR TOWN. OUR COMMUNITY.
