Form Guide

The Wood are now on a winning run of four in the league, with the latest coming against Maidstone United at home on Tuesday night.

Angelo Balanta scored for the Wood against Maidstone, taking his tally of goals up to nine in the league.

The win has lifted the Wood up to fourth in the division, level on points with third placed Aldershot Town.

The Wood sit just six points off Macclesfield Town in first place, ahead of their clash against the The Silkmen on Saturday, March 3 (12.30).

Managed by former BW PASE coach Anthony Limbrick, Woking currently sit in 16th place in the table, on 42-points.

Limbrick’s side have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five matches in the National League.

Those two victories came in their last two home games, with 1-0 wins over both Chester and Fylde.

From the Dugout – Luke Garrard

“They have an incredible home record, they are sitting fourth in the league on home form and I think that they have got 30 odd points from 17 odd games, so yeah, it is going to be a tough task.

“They possess good quality, they have got good personnel throughout the whole team and like I say week-in-week-out, every game at this level is going to be hard.

“They have got a team that obviously listen, because they try and play the philosophy that the manager wants to play.

“They look to get on the ball and dictate, but for me, we have a plan of how we are going to counteract their strengths.

“They have got energy, they press with an intent and they have got legs, so yeah, I think that them being young is a positive.

“We came up against them here the first time around and it was a tough task, it was hard and it was a very physical match.

“They have obviously lost the likes of Inih Effiong now and Joe Ward, but they have brought in Anthony Cook, they have brought in Jonathan Edwards and they have brought in Reece Grego-Cox from QPR.

“They have replaced the boys that they lost with some good strength and I can imagine that they are going to want to continue their fine home form.”
