Wood make the short trip to Wingate & Finchley tomorrow afternoon to play our first pre-season friendly fixture in preparation for the eagerly anticipated 2020/21 season.
It will be Wood’s first taste of match play since our disappointing play-off exit to eventual play-off winners Harrogate Town back in July, with much of our successful 2019/20 squad still remaining at Meadow Park.
New additions such as Gus Mafuta, Corey Whitely and Zaine Francis-Angol will be likely to feature, as well as new signing Nathan Ashmore, who signed on permanently at Meadow Park following an influential loan spell from Ebbsfleet United last campaign.
At the start of the week, in line with government guidance and following consultation with our hosts Wingate & Finchley, we issued 100 tickets for the faithful Wood Army, which sold out within a day. As such, we stress to all Wood Army fans that admission will not be granted into the Stadium without a pre-purchase match ticket, and we politely ask any Wood fan considering on turning up without a ticket to support from afar for the time being.
Wood Army fans following from home can stay up-to-date with tomorrows via our social media channels, either Twitter or Instagram @boreham_woodfc. Please be aware that extended match highlights will be made available to Wood fans tomorrow evening following the conclusion of the friendly fixture.
The Wood will be sporting our brand-new ‘glimmer’ green PUMA away kit for tomorrow’s fixture for the very first time, any fan wishing to purchase our new match shirt for the 2020/21 season can do so by clicking here.
