We make the short trip to Ruislip this weekend to hopefully continue our commendable away form, having lost just one of our six League matches on the road of 2015. With the playoff race hotting up now, with both Bromley and Basingstoke winning midweek, we are again faced with another massive afternoon.

A quick glance at the table shows we still have it all to do to have a chance of prolonging our season, which given that we led the table for two thirds of the season, is no more than we deserve.

Our hosts found the going tough in their first season at this level for many a year, much like ourselves five seasons ago. However after waiting ten games for the first win to come along, The Stones are now closer to the play offs than the drop zone.

Gordon Bartlett’s side are currently eleventh in the table and recorded an incredible 3-0 win over Gosport Borough in midweek. That game featured by far the oldest strike partnership in the League in the shape of Scott McGleish and Jefferson Louis, the first time that Bartlett has let them loose together from the kick off. Both the 41 year old and the 36 year old helped themselves to a goal each with Matt Ball getting the first.

Our first encounter since the Ryman League Premier days, was back in November when we showed great character after going behind after 12 minutes, to score twice in the last three minutes of normal time to steal the win. One of the players to watch is undoubtedly keeper Johnathan North who made four excellent saves against us and is often the saviour at Grosvenor Vale.

We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday!

Saturday March 21st, kick off 3 pm.

Grosvenor Vale, Ruislip. HA4 6JQ.
