Wood have a break from National league action as they travel to Gander Green Lane to take on Sutton United for a place in the last 8 of the FA Trophy.

Firstly congratulations to Sutton who made it through to the 5th round of the FA Cup and a plum tie against Arsenal awaits them. Despite sitting in the lower half of the National League table, Sutton have shown they are a side who know how to win cup matches and on their own patch are a tough side to get a result from as both AFC Wimbledon and Leeds United have recently found out.

Woods last visit to Gander Green Lane was in the Conference south promotion season, a 3-1 victory with 2 late goals kept up Woods title bid.

Boreham Wood won the league game at Meadow Park earlier in the season before Wood travel back to GGL later in the month for the return fixture however Luke Garrard will be fully aware that league form goes out the window in cup competitions and both sides will be wanting to continue the road to Wembley.

Jason Williams looks to be Woods only casualty after picking up a slight hamstring injury following the trip to Torquay.

We hope the Town will turn out for this big game as Wood look to keep their road to Wembley dreams alive.
