Form Guide

The Wood are now unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions, following a 1-1 draw away to Aldershot Town.

Goals at the death of both halves settled the match, with David Stephens scoring a 90th minute equaliser.

Prior to that, the Wood had come from behind to beat Bromley 2-1 at Meadow Park.

There have also been victories over Maidenhead United and Dagenham & Redbridge for Garrard’s men in the unbeaten run.

The Wood remain in 11th place in the National League table, and are now on 26-points.

Managed by 51-year-old Tim Flowers, Solihull Moors have been somewhat of a surprise package to some this season, and currently sit in the play-offs, in sixth place.

They have lost just once in their last nine matches and have won three of their last five, showing an impressive consistency.

One to Watch – Adi Yussuf

Adi Yussuf has become a key player for the Moors since singing from Barrow in January 2018.

A tall and imposing striker with a 6ft 1in frame, Yussuf has already scored six times this season, in just 15 starts.

An experienced campaigner in the National League, Yussof has also played for Lincoln City in this division.

From the Dugout – Luke Garrard

“They are sitting where they are in the table on merit, they have done fantastic work there.

“I am not a fool, I know how tough it is going to be up there on Saturday, they have only recorded one loss in their last nine.

“But flip that; we are unbeaten in five and we are a side who are full of confidence, with great character at the minute.

“I know that when we went there at the back end of the year, we came out with a 0-0 draw and I was over the moon because I knew that they were a team on the up.

“Their recruitment has been fantastic, and they have got personnel in terms of Daniel Wright and Kyle Storer, who have won the league.

“For me, their form hasn’t been a surprise. I think that they are a very well organised, well drilled side and he has got them playing in a certain way.

“It is for us to counter that and make sure that we are big and strong in terms of their forward threat.

“We feel that we have found little chinks in their armour where we can hurt them and we will hone in on that on Saturday.”
