Both sides will be keen to keep the momentum going, weather permitting down at York Road this coming Saturday. United have improved their form of late, just like ourselves and a quick look at the table makes this yet another six pointer for both sides.

We last met in November at Meadow Park, when we managed to throw away an early two goal lead to earn a point at the final whistle. Since then The U’s have lost just twice. An early December defeat by the odd goal in five at promotion chasing Sutton United is their only defeat in the League.  Their second defeat can more realistically be described as a near victory for the Skrill South, with Johnson Hippolyte’s men losing 2-1 on the road at Skrill Premier promotion chasing Grimsby Town in the F A Trophy.

There are just nine points separating the bottom eight, with Wood leading the pack on goal difference. Maidenhead will be looking for maximum points to ensure they stay out of the bottom three. A win will see them draw level on points with us, with a game in hand.

There really is so much to play for and Wood fans are encouraged to get down to York Road and cheer on the boys!

Saturday January 18th. Away to Maidenhead United. Kick off 3pm.

York Road, Maidenhead. Berkshire. SL6 1SF
