Team News

The Wood have no fresh injury concerns going into the fixture.

Luke Garrard hopes to have a full quota to choose from against Gateshead, with both Jamie Turley and Kane Smith returning against Ebbsfleet United.

Having made his debut against the Fleet, Dan Holman will be hoping to keep his place on Saturday.

Form Guide

Boreham Wood sit just three points outside of the playoff spots, with the National League still as open as ever.

The Wood may have lost their previous two matches, but Garrard argued that his side could have come away with all three points against Ebbsfleet.

The Wood manager will be looking for a reaction on Saturday against Gateshead, as his side look to get back to winning ways.

Gateshead currently sit two places behind the Wood in 14th, but have won just once in their previous five matches.

Managed by former Halifax boss Neil Aspin, the side remain just four points off the playoffs themselves, knowing that a win could propel them up the table.

From the Dugout – Luke Garrard

“I think that the performance on Saturday was pleasing, but it was just frustrating that we couldn’t put three points on the board, because I feel like we dominated the game to an extent and then they got the pen.

“It is about both boxes and if we are good in both boxes, then the bits in the middle will enhance the performance. If we can go and be strong on set-pieces against, and set-pieces for, then I think we can go and cause problems.

“I have watched their games and I see that they have got quality in their ranks, I look at their firepower in Danny Johnson, Jordan Burrow, Jordan Preston and Richard Peniket, and I think that they have got great ability to cause any teams problems at any level.

“I feel that Neil has got a side together, who can compete at the right end of the table, and it is for us to go there and do what we have got to do.

“I think that he has done a fantastic job there and his recruitment in the summer has been very good. He lost some players last year, but the boys that he has brought in, especially at this level, are very strong.”
