Form Guide

A dramatic 3-3 draw in the original match, ensured that the two sides would need a replay to settle the tie.

Keiran Murtagh opened the scoring for the Wood, with a powered strike, before Kane Smith added a second from distance.

However, the Heed pulled themselves level thanks to two goals from Jordan Burrows, who would go on to complete his hatrick in the 92nd minute.

But the Wood’s leading scorer, Bruno Andrade, levelled the scores again, earning, and converting, a 95th minute penalty.

Managed by 43-year-old Steve Watson, The Heed currently sit 18th in the table on 32-points.

An extra-time winner from Theo Vassell, saw Watson’s side beat Guiseley 2-1 in the previous round of the FA Trophy.

The win over Guiseley, remains the Heed’s only victory in their last five matches, in all competitions, with three draws.

From the Dugout – Luke Garrard

At 3-2 I have got to be honest, I sat on my hands with about minute left, cause I felt that we were out of the cup, something that I said in the interview after Dagenham, that I wanted to win.

“I feel that we can go on two fronts, especially with the squad that we are producing.

“But, the character from the lads to go and equalise in the 95th minute; we score some late goals and I have to give credit to my team, because they never know when to give up.

“The replay will require the same effort as we put in for 75 minutes on Saturday.

“The policing, organising, game management, I feel that the character the same, the effort the same, organisation up to 75 minutes the same, the quality the same.

“I feel that we need to deal with their threat. Burrow’s has come off the bench, because Peniket I believe had a head injury.

“So, he will have had the bit between his teeth and I can imagine that he will start on Tuesday now, so we will need to deal with him.”
