Wood head into a tough fixture this coming Saturday as they visit 3rd placed Forest Green Rovers.

Luke Garrard knows the task his side will face as Forest Green have only lost once at home all season and that was to league leaders Lincoln City. That said Forest Green’s last home win came way back in November against Aldershot, which was followed up by a defeat and four draws

Wood will go to the New Lawn in buoyant mood after Tuesday nights resounding victory over Sutton United but with the influential loan signing Anthony Jeffrey not allowed to play against his parent club, Garrard will be forced into at least one change.

Rewinding back to August, Wood enjoyed a fine performance against the Green Devils, surprising many people people by picking up a victory on the opening day of the season. Forest Green bounced back well going on a 7 game unbeaten run which took them to the top of the table.

Garrard hopes to have two if not all of his injured players back at his disposal for the trip to Gloucestershire.

The Green Devils are currently 4 points off the summit, having played a game more than Lincoln City. Their game against Lincoln could well prove to be a crucial one on March 25th.
