The Wood travel to Surrey tomorrow afternoon to take on Dorking Wanderers, a side that currently sit level on points with us with the Wood one position higher due to our goal difference. The Wood are on the back of a positive performance after drawing 1-1 with Bromley after going down to ten men in the first half when Jamal Fyfield was sent off. Dorking Wanderers on the other hand are on the back of their heaviest National League defeat after losing to Gateshead 6-0 so will be looking for a reaction in front of their supporters.

In their last five games Dorking Wanderers have suffered four defeats starting out with a 2-0 defeat away to FA Cup underdogs, Horsham. They then travelled to Bromley where they suffered a 2-1 defeat thanks to a last-minute winner from Corey Whitely.

Looking to bounce back, they welcomed an in form Aldershot Town side to Meadowbank. They came away 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Prior and Muitt.

However this was followed by back to back defeats at the hands of Dagenham & Redbridge in a 3-1 loss at home  and also Gateshead where the Wanderers suffered a 6-0 defeat.

Their top scorer this season is Jason Prior, who has scored 8 goals this campaign, he is a forward who is regarded as a club legend at Dorking Wanderers as he played an instrumental part in the club’s recent history getting promoted from the Isthmian Premier and National League South divisions.
