Boreham Wood travel to The Avenue Stadium to face a resurgent Dorchester Town side this Saturday.

At Christmas it looked as though there was no way back for Dorchester who were rooted to the foot of the table however 10 points from their last 5 games, including victories against league leaders Bromley and Play off chasing Eastbourne has really lifted them back into the relegation pack along with eight other sides including ourselves.

The Wood will go there with high hopes of returning with maximum points although it will need a repeat of the performances against Tonbridge and Havant despite the midweek score line if they are to succeed.

Dorchester’s home form has seen them win once in their last six games at the avenue with that win coming against Bromley in what were very awful conditions, if that run is one win in seven come 4.45 we will be awfully happy.

Our away form has been pleasing picking up three wins out of six whilst scoring goals in the process so let’s hope that continues into Saturday.

Ian Allinson should have a fully fit squad to choose from, after an explosive 15 minutes from Lee Angol on Wednesday evening and with plenty of quality attacking options it will be interesting to see who leads the line for the Wood.

Dorchester’s man to watch will be in form Nick Crittenden, the former Glover who won both the Football Conference League and FA Trophy, has scored in Dorchester’s last two games culminating in a victory and a draw.

It is a game both sides need to win, but wont want to lose. So come down to The Avenue as the team needs your vocal support, you can make the difference.
