The Daggers come into this fixture off the back of an impressive 1-0 away win against Solihull Moors on Tuesday evening.

Whereas Wood made the short trip to Wealdstone and disappointingly came away on the wrong end of a 1-0 defeat.

THE FORM GUIDE

THE WOOD

Wood made the short trip to Wealdstone and former Wood man Connor Smith got the only goal of the game to secure all three points for the Stones. The Stones had the better of the chances in the opening stages of the game with Michee Etete heading narrowly wide after just three minutes played.

Wood then had a chance of their own in the 11th minute when Junior Morias had his effort saved by Harry Itsted in the Stones net. Tyrone Marsh struck the post in the 18th minute and the follow up fell to Kabongo Tshimanga who failed to convert.

Former Wood man Connor Smith gave the hosts the lead after 25 minutes of play when he toe-poked the ball past Nathan Ashmore from just outside the penalty area.

Wood created several goal scoring opportunities in the second half, with notable chances falling to Gus Mafuta and Kane Smith but we could not equal the score line.

The game miraculously ended 1-0 to the Stones, and the defeat now means that the Wood are with just one win in their previous six games.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

“THE DESTROYER”

KENNY CLARK

Kenny Clark began his youth career with the Daggers but before making a senior appearance, he moved on to Thurrock in 2006.

Clark spent four enjoyable years at Thurrock and captained his side at just 19 years old before signing for Chelmsford in 2011.

The central defender became a real fans favourite for the Clarets during a two-year spell at the club as he helped his side reach the Play Offs.

Making over 80 appearances for the Clarets over two seasons, Conference Premier side Dartford came calling and won the signature of the defender who went on to make 31 league appearances for the club.

In 2014 Clark moved to Ebbsfleet United and went on to make over 200 appearances for the Fleet before signing for Daggers in 2018.

Prior to the 2013/14 campaign, Rance signed for Ebbsfleet United and went on to win players’ player of the season in his opening season with Fleet.

Rance then signed for Aldershot Town in 2019 and was named club captain soon after signing. The Daggers then signed Rance at the start of this season and is the current captain for his side.

“THE FINISHER

PAUL McCALLUM

In 2015, McCallum signed a permanent deal with League Two outfit Leyton Orient and went on to score 15 goals in 43 appearances. After this, McCallum signed for Eastleigh and in the 2018/19 campaign, he scored 27 goals in all competitions.
