The Wood are back at home this Saturday, October 27 (3pm), when we welcome Bromley to Meadow Park, in the Vanarama National League. Here’s our preview…
Match Details
Boreham Wood Football Club have now moved onto an online ticketing system and ticket details can be found HERE. Ticket prices are as follows: Adults £18; OAPS £13, under 16’s £8 and under 12’s £4 (subject to booking fee).
These prices are to sit or stand. The West and East stands are seated, and the North and South ends are standing.
We advise that all supporters planning to attend BWFC matches at Meadow Park, purchase tickets beforehand.
Once purchased, tickets are available to download to supporter’s phones, are accessible on the Ticket Arena app, and can also be printed at home and brought to the game for entry.
Tickets will still be available to purchase on the day of the game, but at an increased rate of £2.
For home supporters, cash payments will be available on the East Stand turnstile, and card payments in the Gallery Suite bar. Away supporters will also be able to purchase tickets on the away gate in the West Stand, with cash.
The match will be segregated, and the nearest public car park is stationed in Brook Road and adjacent to stadium.
Team News
Luke Garrard has confirmed that Reeco Hackett-Fairchild, Danny Woodards and Connor Smith will all return for the fixture against Bromley.
The Wood gaffer is also hopeful that David Stephens can pass a late fitness test and feature as well.
Form Guide
The Wood are now unbeaten in their last three matches, with their latest result coming in the shape of a 1-0 FA Cup replay win over Dagenham & Redbridge.
Jamal Fyfield was the goal-scorer against the Daggers, bringing his tally to three for the season, from centre-back.
Prior to that, the Wood had drawn 2-2 with Dagenham in the original FA Cup match, with Josh Umerah and Justin Shaibu netting.
That had followed a 3-1 victory over Maidenhead United at Meadow Park, with the side looking impressive in all three matches.
The return to fitness of a number of the Wood’s key personnel has proved key in the upturn of form.
The Wood currently sit 11th in the National League table, on 22-points.
Managed by 47-year-old Neil Smith, Bromley have followed a similar path to the Wood, since both teams were promoted from the National League South.
Bromley have won three of their last five matches and currently sit in 15th place in the National League, on 20-points.
One to Watch – George Porter
Bromley’s chief goal scoring threat, George Porter is now into his third season with with them, having joined from Welling United.
Known for his passion and effort, as much as his goal-scoring abilities, Porter is a fans’ favourite at Bromley.
Porter is the only player to have featured in all of Bromley’s National League matches so far this season, even eclipsing goalkeeper David Gregory, who has featured in one game fewer.
Porter has also played for Leyton Orient and Burnley in the EFL and is now an experienced 26-years-old.

“They are in a good run of form at the minute and their last five or six results have been positive.
“They have brought great personnel into their squad – John Goddard, Omar Bugiel on a full-time contract and Paul Rooney from Colchester who is a left-sided centre-half.
“So yeah, they have got great personnel and a great manager in Neil Smith who done fantastically last season, and achieved a dream come true in the FA Trophy.
“I love Smudge [Neil Smith] and I love the relationship that we have got as clubs and I think that our two chairmen get on superbly and I get on really well with Smudge and his staff.
“I look forward to welcoming them here on Saturday. But, we know that it is business, it is not pleasure and we are fully focused on getting three points.
“We are three unbeaten now and we have turned our form around, in terms of the four losses. So, I am really excited in terms of where going to go on Saturday and hopefully it is a positive result.”
