After Tuesdays big 5-0 victory against Chris Kinnears, play off chasing Dover Athletic, Wood welcome Guiseley to Meadow Park.
Guiseley are at present on a fantastic run of form which has seen them lift themselves to within 4 points of the Wood and clear of relegation. Adam Lockwood since taking charge took a while to get going but once his team were playing as he wanted as we ourselves saw at Nethermoor are a side that can beat anyone on their day.
The Wood last season got a home victory against Guiseley. A win was a necessity if we were to have any chance of remaining in the league. It was a very nervy 90 minutes however the players held their nerve to get the win which gave the club the momentum to do what was required at Welling on the final day of the season.
That I think shows just how far the club has come in the space of a year – sitting currently in 12th spot, but hopefully with a good end to the season can see that improved.
