Boreham Wood FC are urging all of our Supporters both old and new to turn out in large numbers for next Sunday’s vital FA Cup game against Hayes & Yeading, being played at Woking and help us to progress to the 1st round proper.

Though every Supporter PLEASE NOTE; Our FA Cup, 4th Qualifying round game is against Hayes & Yeading but will be played next SUNDAY, 21st October at Woking’s ground with a 3pm kick off.

This re-scheduling is due to the fact that Hayes’ ground is presently being rebuilt. As such they have been groundsharing at Woking for the last 2 seasons and as Woking have also been drawn at home in this year’s FA Cup, they will play their game on the Saturday and our game will be played on the Sunday.

With the Winners of this 4th qualifying tie between Hayes and Boreham Wood going into the hat for the 1st round proper. The stakes for both teams and their fans to grab some more FA Cup glory could not be higher. Both Clubs are also flying high in the Conference South and so it promises to be an exciting and close encounter.

Over the years, ‘Wood’ have enjoyed great success in the FA Cup and reached the 1st or 2nd round proper of this incredible competition on 5 or 6 occasions. Who of us can forget the wonderful memories of the Cup trips to Southend, Swindon, Luton Town, Rushden and Diamonds, Torquay and Blackpool amongst others??

If you are somebody who supported us on any of those fantastic cup journeys. Then dust off your Flags and Scarves, get out your Sat Nav’s and give up your boring Sunday. Why not Grab the kids and get down to Woking and cheer us on. If you’re a Sunday league player talk to the lads and come to the game after you’ve played. Trust us you’ll make a difference!!!

Your club is now urging The Town, to come back out in your numbers and cheer the team on. You know from the past what a difference you make when your support is vocal and you get behind us. If you’re too young to remember those wonderful trips to Torquay, Blackpool etc or if this is your first FA Cup run with us then it makes it even better. Please give up your Sunday lunch or eat in the evening and let’s together, try and create another piece of Cup history and see where the next famous FA Cup adventure can take us…
