Alex Radu made his second appearance for Welwyn Garden City, with the team playing in the FA Trophy.

They suffered a 2-1 loss to Bostik League side Chipstead, despite taking a first half-lead through former Boreham Wood academy graduate Jon Clements.

Chipstead turned the match on its head in the second half, scoring twice inside 25 minutes.

Radu was introduced as a substitute with 25 minutes remaining and impressed the management and supporters once again.

The Wood youngster showed his impressive distribution skills from the back, while also displaying his tough tackling ability.

However, he was powerless to prevent his loan side from exiting the competition, with Chipstead holding onto their lead.

Fred Burbidge and Jack Gibbs were both involved with the Wood first team once again, making them unavailable for Dunstable and Northwood.

Meanwhile, Bradley Ash’s Weston-super-Mare saw their clash with East Thurrock United postponed.
