Job Description

Boreham Wood Football Club is seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed individual to work within the busy Medical Department during the 2018/2019 Season. Boreham Wood run the largest and most successful Football Education Scheme for 16-19 year olds in the United Kingdom and after securing their place for a fourth season the Senior Squad will play in the National League having finished the highest they have in their history.

This would be ideal job for a recent Sports Science or Sports Therapy graduate. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Academy Coaches and Medical staff during sessions and matches throughout the season. They will be expected to plan and deliver to a high standard consistently warm up and cool downs that focus on injury prevention, physical development and performance gains.

As part of the candidate’s duties they will be required to assess and treat injuries in a training and match day environment, pitch side medical for the Academy and Elite section and carry out soft tissue and manual therapies.

The candidate will also be required to plan and implement additional periodized individual and group fitness and testing sessions throughout the season and oversee the end stage rehabilitation of any injured players. This will include delivering high quality fitness sessions to our new Boreham Wood PASE Fitness and Well Being scheme for 2018/2019.

Candidates will be expected to work evenings and weekends and must be flexible with hours. The above job description is only a brief overview and you will be expected to help with the day to day running of the Football Club and community department.


Essential

Undergraduate degree in Sport Science, Sports Therapy or Sports Rehabilitation (other degrees will be considered)

Personal Training Qualification and experience with group fitness sessions

Excellent Communication skills and able to work as part of a team is essential

Full Uk Driving License

Insurance to practice


Desirable

BASES or UKSCA accredited
