JASON GOODLIFFE

Boreham Wood Football Club are delighted to announce, that Jason Goodliffe has accepted our offer to return to the club as Luke Garrards new assistant manager..

In recent weeks Wood Chairman Danny Hunter and manager Luke Garrard have been in discussions, regarding key positions throughout the clubs management structure..

Following on from those talks, it has been agreed that not only would an assistant manager be brought in as a priority but that a new goalkeeping coach and director of football would also be sought going forward..

When asked about Jason’s appointment to his management team, manager Luke Garrard said “I felt I needed somebody I could trust, somebody who knew me and most importantly somebody that I wanted to work with..

I played with Jason at AFC Wimbledon for three seasons and played under him when he was Ian Allinson’s assistant here four or five seasons ago”..

“I wanted an assistant who could work with Junior Lewis and I out on the training pitch and I think we’ll make a very strong and united management team..

Goody and myself have had a long chat about what has been built since he was last at the club, we also spoke about what we need to achieve for the remainder of this season and what to date have been our strengths and weaknesses”..

“The upshot is that Jason’s experience is back in football with Boreham Wood Football Club and he is in a position where he can help me, help himself and help the club get to where we want to be.. I’m really looking forward to renewing acquaintances and working with him again”.. Garrard concluded.
