Boreham Wood Football Club are delighted to announce that two of their young players represented the English Colleges’ FA against the Welsh Schools’ FA last Monday, 16th January 2012.

Both Charlie Hunter and Ruddock Yala played the last half hour against the Welsh Schoolboys and added quality to the ECFA side that were already 2 – 0 down. The game ended 2 – 0 and the two boys gave a good account for themselves.

PASE Academy Head Coach Luke Garrard said “I watched the game and thought the boys made a real difference when they came on with half hour to go. Over the last 3 seasons we’ve had five boys play for the English Colleges’ and they all have represented the Club tremendously”.

Garrard continued “We have lots of talent coming through our ranks at the moment, so in years to come we could have many more International players representing English Colleges’ and Schools’”.

Charlie and Ruddock’s next game will be against the Welsh Colleges’ in February in Bangor before flying to Italy in March to play in a European International Tournament against the likes of Italy, Slovenia, Slovakia and Romania.
