Boreham Wood enter a crucial phase of the Season as we look to entertain bottom of the table Truro City this Saturday and remain in the Top 5 of the Conference South.

‘Wood’ are urging supporters to attend and be vocal for the 2 vital Saturday home games between now and Christmas, against Truro and Hayes.

Manager Ian Allinson said “We need to continue our good league form of just 3 defeats in 15 games. Especially as 8 of them have been on the road and at tough places against the likes of Bath, Hayes Dover and Salisbury”..

All three of our league defeats to date were of our own making and I have to put it down to 3 players, who somehow managed to get sent off at Truro when it was not even a malicious game. Then having to field a weakened team at Tonbridge 2 weeks later which disrupted things, and a poor and tired performance against Weston-Super-Mare, its now time to sign a couple of players and freshen things up andi’ll talk to the Chairman this week.”

Allinson went on “To have been on the road, for 11 of our last 13 Saturdays in league and cup, is tough for any side in this division. So to still be in the top 5 is testament to our squad that we are continuing to pick up results. We now need to win a few at home and to get our home Supporters behind us this month” he concluded.
