IAN ALLINSON2

Boreham Wood manager Ian Allinson has asked for the clubs supporters to give his players a real lift. He wants them to turn up in their numbers at Meadow Park tonight for the visit of the National league leaders Forest Green Rovers..

Allinson said “we’re playing the league leaders and so I expect a difficult night but it’s also a game I’m confident of getting a result in and not one we’ll fear. That shows you how highly I rate our young squad and trust me, it has ability, bags of character and belief”..

“I’d also like to give a mention to our travelling supporters, who have been absolutely different class so far this season. They’ve shown a real commitment to the team by travelling to Eastleigh last Tuesday night and then by getting themselves up to Gateshead just four days later. They’ve already seen like me, that this league is a lot lot tougher than the Conference South.. but if we stick together, if we don’t get carried away with a victory and don’t get too downhearted with a defeat, then we’ll not only surprise a few, we’ll survive and then we’ll prosper in this league”..
