Boreham Wood Football Club are delighted to announce high-profile friendlies with Brentford FC and AFC Wimbledon.
We will be welcoming the Brentford first team to Meadow Park on Friday, July 6 (7.30pm) for a competitive friendly on our Desso pitch.
The fixture will provide an exciting test for Luke Garrard’s side, as some of the Championship’s best players will take to the field at Meadow Park.
Managed by Dean Smith, The Bees finished the season in ninth place in the Championship, after another successful campaign.
The likes of Ryan Woods, Ollie Watkins and Daniel Bentley have all been amongst the league’s top performers this season.
Brentford are in their third season in the Championship, having been promoted under former Boreham Wood player Mark Warburton in the 2013/14 campaign.
As such, this should prove to be an unmissable tie, with Luke Garrard and his team looking to upset the odds.
This will be followed by a visit from Garrard’s former side AFC Wimbledon. The dons will visit Meadow Park on Saturday, July 28 (3pm).
Managed by Neal Ardley, Wimbledon further cemented themselves as a recognized League One outfit this campaign, with an 18th placed finish, following their climb up the divisions.
Wood manager Garrard made 100 appearances for the Dons, during a four-year stint with the now League One outfit.
A cult hero at Kingsmeadow, Garrard will no doubt be excited to take on his former side.
Boreham Wood have already confirmed a prestigious pre-season friendly with a very strong Arsenal XI, on Saturday, July 14 (3pm).
