Boreham Wood host their Hampshire rivals Farnborough this Saturday, 14th April in the Blue Square Bet South. Please note that the kick off time has been pushed forward to 12.00pm.

Can Boreham Wood take this opportunity to thank Spencer Day and everyone at Farnborough for agreeing to the earlier kick off time of 12.00pm. This was to comply with UEFA rules and allow Arsenal Ladies Champions League counterparts Eintracht Frankfurt the opportunity to train on the Meadow Park pitch ahead of their Semi Final this Sunday.

Farnborough currently sit 13th in the Blue Square Bet South having won 14, drew 6 and lost 19 from their 39 games so far this season, scoring 51 yet conceding 73 in the process. Farnborough’s current form of late hasn’t been too great, winning just 2 and drawing 1 from their last 8 games. However their last outing against Boreham Wood they comprehensively brushed us aside with a 4-0 victory at Cherrywood Road, so they will come into this game full of confidence.

‘Wood’s’ great form throughout March, has dipped at the beginning of April with two losses to relegation strugglers Thurrock and Staines Town, however in both games Boreham Wood had chances to salvage something or even enough to win the games however they couldn’t find the back of the net. Hopefully with the return of senior players like Omar Riza, Sam Cox and perhaps Mario Noto this Saturday, ‘Wood’ can become more decisive in front of goal and finish the season of a high.
