Boreham Wood and Barnet & Southgate’s England Colleges players have all travelled to Italy, for the Roma Caput Mundi Tournament.

Cheyce Grant, Archie Pepper, Alex Morgan and Iliman Ndiaye will all take part in the prestigious tournament. Dan Creese will unfortunately miss out due to injury.

Some of the best young college footballers from Europe have flown out to compete in the 12th Edition of the Roma Caput Mundi.

The quartet will fly out this Saturday, February 17 from Heathrow, and will return the following Friday.

All four have now made their debuts for England Colleges, and featured in a 3-2 win over Australia.

Grant, Pepper, Morgan, Ndiaye and Creese were all called up in 2017, following two extremely successful trials.

They have had a number of training sessions with their England Colleges teammates at the famous St George’s Park, the home of the English FA’s national football centre.

The trip to Rome, is just the latest opportunity afforded to players from our famous PASE Academy.

Head PASE coach Cameron Mawer said: “It is unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable and I am so excited for them. I am excited for them to go away and represent the football club at that tournament.

“We had Ben Goodliffe, Sorba Thomas and Fred Burbidge play in it last year, so to have four go away this time is clear progression. It’s just a real shame that Dan Creese’s injury has prevented him from being able to take part in the tournament.

“To have five England Internationals this year has been superb, and the tournament is something that they will learn from and something that will live with them for the rest of their lives.

“To have that on your CV, it is something that you can tell your family, you can tell your friends and you can tell your future Grandkids.

“You can go and tell people that you represented England at College level and that is something that no one can ever take away from them and they should all be very proud.”

Good luck to all of the England Colleges team in the competition.
