After defeating two sides with excellent away form at home, it is now the job of Ian Allinson’s men to ruin another fine record, this time the home one of The Spitfires.    Having won six of their last seven at home including a 5 – 0 hammering of Billericay Town last Tuesday, it promises to be another tough challenge.

It has been a strange Season for the Hampshire side whom parted company with Ian Baird as their Manager earlier this Season.    New boss Richard Hill has been ringing the changes on what was already an unfamiliar set of players.    In the last week he has bolstered his central two at the back.    In comes Chris Todd from Forest Green Rovers, who played 150 games for Exeter City, before featuring at Torquay United and Newport County. He is joined by Dean Beckwith who lists Hereford United, Northampton Town and Luton Town amongst his former Clubs.

It is their away form which has been letting The Spitfires down, setting the trend when we recorded a fine 3 – 0 victory against them on the opening day of the Season.    Our games the Season before also favoured the home side on both occasions, winning 6 – 1 at home, whist losing 2 – 0 at The Silverlake Stadium.

With Luke Norris back with Brentford, it leaves Ian a conundrum as to who plays up front as we attempt to make it three wins on the trot.

Saturday 12 January, Kick Off 3.00pm. Silverlake Stadium, Stoneham Lane, Eastleigh. SO50 9HT.
