Wood Chairman Danny Hunter has asked the club’s ticket office to extend from today our discounted season ticket offer for everyone up until July 31st.

The Chairman wants to help those struggling financially within our community and this extension might give some of you just a bit more time to use the discount offer and find the best solution to suit your budget.

The Chairman has also extended the free season ticket offer to over 70’s and under 5’s, as it’s clear that with the cost-of-living crisis already biting, every little saving will help.

The club’s discounted season ticket prices have already gone down incredibly well with the community and the discounts have really helped, with more than 675 season tickets already sold, which is a new club record… The club are now confident that that total will rise closer to 800 by the time the season starts on August 6th.

All supporters should note that due to the upcoming FIFA World Cup, both the Premier League and the Championship will shut down fully in November, and they will not start up again until Boxing Day. However, with these season ticket offers, nobody’s football fix should be affected as the National League will play on during that period.

As a quick cost comparison, if you buy a discounted Wood season ticket at the present rates, compared to “on the day” entry prices, it will mean that in most adult cases, if you’ve bought an adult discounted season ticket, you are only paying for approximately 9 games – but you will be getting around another 14 National League games free. We feel this is incredible and unbeatable value.

As an added bonus to all of the above discounts, Wood Chairman Danny Hunter has also instructed the club’s ticket office, that all who are processed season ticket holders by July 17th, will also receive FREE admission into the Arsenal XI pre-season game on Friday, July 28th.

Here are key dates coming up in the next month: –

Tomorrow (Friday 1st July) – New player signings will be announced.
Monday 4th July – New stadium catering partners will be announced.
Wednesday 6th July – National League fixtures will be announced.
Saturday 9th July – Home pre-season game – Brentford.
Tuesday 12th July – Home pre-season game – West Ham United.
Friday 15th July – Home pre-season game – Chelsea XI
Friday 29th July – Home pre-season game – Arsenal XI
Sunday 31st July – Extended club season ticket offer ends.
Saturday 6th August – National League officially begins.

So, for all local football fans still unsure whether to buy yourself a new Wood season ticket, why not come down in pre-season and see for yourself how the club’s building works are really taking shape? Although not complete yet the work will gather pace during the pre-season programme and you can make your decision.

Also, as a reminder, please remember to stay in touch with all the club’s news, gossip and player information, through our continually updated official website and social media feeds.

We think you’ll like what you see if you pop down in pre-season and, if you do, we encourage you to buy your season ticket, encourage your friends and family to do the same, and for them to also take up the club’s incredible discount offers.

These offers really are the most cost-effective way for you to watch your local community football club in a competitive National League, within an ever-improving stadium and community facility, but at an affordable price.

Your decision to watch your local club whenever possible, even if you are a season ticket holder at one of the bigger London or Hertfordshire clubs, means you would save money on petrol costs, travel expenses, things like match day programmes, stadium refreshments and all the other crazy season ticket and single match prices being charged by the majority of the Premier League and Championship clubs.

This really is your club, this is your town and this is your community. So, that’s why we are working from dawn to dusk to build you a brand-new home fan zone in readiness for late August. It will be a stunning new fan zone space that we hope will help forge very special lifelong friendships, complete with your very own covered home bottled bar, Sky Sports, great decor and three brand new TV walls with stunning 75” TV’s.

We are also in the midst of completing a new double width entrance road and new barrier system onto the site, we are installing 6 new automated turnstiles and partnering up with a new catering company serving pie and mash and all of the normal football fare.

On top of that there will be extra toilet facilities, a new club shop, lots of new signage and, of course, the exciting new pathway entrance into the site that we will call the “Corridor of Legends.”

So please, please consider giving your local club some of your time and some of your support next season, as that support at our level really does make a huge difference, especially to our Football League ambitions and it really is hugely appreciated by our Chairman, Manager Luke Garrard and all our players and staff.

Your support last year rose by 30% and we averaged over 1,000 supporters at home for the very first time in our history – let’s come together again and see if we can improve on that by, say, another 10% and let’s try to average over 1,100 next season. That really would be progress for a small club like ours. With your help it is achievable, and every extra fan takes us closer to the Football League.

OUR CLUB. OUR TOWN. OUR COMMUNITY.
