Wood embark upon two tough away fixtures beginning with a trip to Dorset this Saturday, followed by a visit to Eastleigh the following Tuesday.

The Magpies have hit a rich vein of form lately.    They have picked up maximum points in five of their last eight League matches, drawing once, which has lifted them from the lower reaches to a commendable eighth spot in the table.    As ever there is a lot at stake with Town just five points behind Wood.

Our recent League encounters have been close.    We scrapped for a 0 – 1 win last Season at their place with six first team regulars missing. The Season before we came away with nothing losing 3 – 1.    Both our home matches in the corresponding Seasons ended in draws.

The Magpies will sorely miss Charlie Clough on Saturday who starts a four match ban.    Defender turned striker Clough has been immense of late hitting five goals in eight games.

With Dorchester Town announcing an initiative that allows accompanied children free entry on Saturday there can be no better excuse to make it a family day out, so get down to lovely Dorset and cheer on the Lovely Wood Boys!

Dorchester Town versus Boreham Wood – Saturday 9 March, Kick Off 3.00pm.

The Avenue Stadium, Weymouth Avenue, Dorchester. DT1 2RY.
