In line with the Club’s open and honest messaging throughout this COVID-19 pandemic, following Monday’s announcement from Boris Johnson and the UK government, the Club wishes to update supporter’s and the community on our operations as we enter the UK’s 3rd lockdown.

FIRST TEAM

In line with government guidance, elite sport across the UK will remain in place, as such it is business as normal in this regard, well the “new normal” that we have been working to since the pandemic breakout in March 2020.

As such, all Wood’s games, whether that be in the FA Cup, FA Trophy or Vanarama National League will go ahead as normal behind closed doors. We have a busy January in store for the loyal Wood Army, including a historic FA Cup 3rd Round tie against Millwall on Saturday, hosting National League table toppers Torquay United in the FA Trophy 4th Round, as well as no less than 6 National League fixtures including the visit of local rivals Barnet to Meadow Park on Tuesday 19th January 2021.

Other than this weekend’s FA Cup 3rd Round fixture at home to Championship outfit Millwall which will be shown live on BT Sport Digital, or any other BT Sport chosen league fixtures, all games home and away games are set to be live streamed via both ours and our counterparts respective media teams and chosen streaming partners.

All adult and OAP BWFC season ticket holders are reminded that their BWFCtv match passes will remain valid whilst games are played behind closed doors. Should you have any queries surrounding your match pass or have yet to receive your new updated voucher codes (that were issued following the Aldershot Town game), please contact our media team via bwfctvmatchpass@gmail.com.

ASTRO HIRE

Other than a handful of pre-existing hirers for organised under 18 sport, the astro facility will remain closed to the general public, existing over 18 hirers and casual hirers until further notice. As and when this changes, our facilities team shall be in contact with all existing hirers to inform them, as well as publicise our reopening to the general public and casual hirers. Any questions in regard to facility hire, please contact our main club office by calling 020 8953 5097.

ACADEMY

In line with government guidelines, our education partners Barnet & Southgate College have been instructed to close all education sites until mid-February at the earliest and as such have moved to deliver their education provision online for the foreseeable future. As such, the BW PASE Academy’s onsite training and match schedule has too been postponed.

In the meantime, we will move our coaching regime interactively, inclusive of ball mastery and fitness sessions, and will remain in constant contact with all existing BW PASE Academy students, as well as all 2021/22 Academy applicants, who should receive email updates and remote training programmes throughout this period.

Please Note: we will have a dedicated Academy hotline available on 07944 684 782 during the Club’s normal office hours (10am to 5pm Monday through to Friday.)

For all 2021/22 Academy hopefuls, we were due to announce our 2021 trial schedule imminently, however Monday’s announcement will require us to relook at our trial schedule. In the meantime, whilst we work this out, should you have any questions in regard to the BW PASE Academy, please feel free to email us pase_bwfc@hotmail.co.uk with your questions and queries.
