Everyone at Boreham Wood Football Club and Barnet and Southgate College would like to pass on their congratulations and wish PASE Academy graduate Daniel Creese the very best of luck after achieving a scholarship to continue his career in the USA.
Daniel will head over the pond in September starting the next chapter of his journey at Young Harris College in Georgia opening up a fantastic amount of opportunities as a student athlete.
The opportunity arrives after Creese shone with the BW PASE Academy, one of the leading football education programmes in the UK, for four years from U16’s level all the way through to U19’s winning an incredible number of trophies and National titles along the way.
During his time with BW PASE, the talented youngster has also represented Team Maccabi Great Britain at the Maccabi World and European Games in Israel, a tournament in which he impressed immensely in finishing the competition as top scorer for his country.
Head Academy Coach Cameron Mawer said, “I remember seeing Dan playing for Parkfield against Wembley four years ago and he was a fantastically gifted little footballer.”
“He joined our Under 16’s and flourished from there into one of our BW PASE Academy sides quickly becoming one of our most successful players in terms of medals won.
“He has been a pleasure to work with from minute one until now, he has grafted on both sides of our programme; the football side and the educational side setting himself up to have a fantastic opportunity to develop further in the USA.
“I couldn’t be prouder of him as a young man and what he has become in the four years with us. I wish him all the success for the future, and I can’t wait to catch up with him further down the line as he will always be welcome back at Boreham Wood.”
Wood Chairman Danny Hunter said, “Daniel epitomises everything that’s good about our academy programme. Like many before him, he’s displayed an incredible attitude, discipline and desire in everything that he does, and he has been a pleasure to have here over the last four years.
“He is in truth a shining example of what can be achieved by hard work, his league titles and National Cup wins are off the scale and we all genuinely wish him the very best of luck stateside over the next three years.”
