Boreham Wood are excited to announce the arrival of Luton Town striker Aaron Jarvis on a short-term loan.

The 19-year-old arrives at Meadow Park with a promising reputation, having signed for Luton from Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division side Basingstoke Town.

Jarvis netted 17 times for Basingstoke last season, his first in senior football.

The forward came through the Dragons’ youth system, before his breakthrough in the first team.

Jarvis signed for Luton Town on the final day of the 2017 summer transfer window, for an undisclosed fee.

He will now join up with his new teammates, ahead of the trip to Solihull Moors.

On joining the club, Jarvis asserted: “I’m very pleased and I am excited to get out onto the pitch and get to grips with the lads.

“I found out about the interest two days ago, the gaffer at Luton told me that there was an opportunity for me to go and play in the league below.

“I have a lot of respect for this league and I had to take this opportunity with both hands. It is a good chance for me to get onto the pitch and get some game time.

“I feel as if I have got a lot to bring, I can run in behind, I am strong, I can score goals, so I am excited to get onto the pitch.”

Asked about his first impressions of the club, Jarvis said: “It is very well run and very professional, they do things right here, and the training session was very well drilled and the manager knows what he wants from his players.”
