Boreham Wood FC can confirm following a clash between our original fixture date and Arsenal’s Emirates Cup tournament, that our pre-season friendly against a Gunner’s XI has been rescheduled for one-day earlier and will now take place on Friday 29th July with a 7.00pm kick off.
We had previously agreed the 30th of July date with our friends and partners at Arsenal before their Emirates Cup dates were confirmed, which we both quickly realised created a clash with our eagerly anticipated friendly fixture with the Gunners.
As such, both parties moved swiftly to slightly adapt the fixture date from the Saturday afternoon to the Friday evening. We’re sure this is much to the delight of many of the Gunners and Wood Army faithful who voiced their disappointment of the fixture clash as they year-on-year enjoy the annual fixture between our Clubs as it celebrates our long standing relationship with North London’s premiere Club.
Tickets already purchased will remain valid for the rearranged fixture date. However, anybody who has already purchased pre-season friendly tickets for this fixture with an Arsenal XI and cannot make the new rearranged fixture, please can contact our ticketing team by emailing ticketoffice@borehamwoodfootballclub.co.uk.
