Boreham Wood Football Club held its second PASE trial (Programme for Academic and Sporting Excellence) at the clubs Meadow Park ground today.

After more than three hundred 16 to 18 year old boys attended our first trial in February. The turn out was again very high, with another 180 young hopefuls wishing to trial and see what the club has to offer them.

The day has hopefully given the boys, their parents and their guardians, a real insight into our Sports / Education programme and the expectations of the club and its coaching team.

The lads had to register with us at 10am this morning. They were put through their paces in a series of matches and they then got to meet our club Chairman who spoke to them all. They then got to work with many of the clubs UEFA qualified coaches and meet the clubs medical staff.

From there they had a facility and stadium tour and got to speak with their potential tutors and the dedicated college admissions team.

Academy Director Luke Garrard said “it’s been another very positive day for all concerned at the club. The staff where on point, the weather was perfect and the lads where really keen with good players on view.. The lads have now seen exactly what we can offer them and I’m really happy that the day as a whole has gone well and with how the trials are panning out”.
