NEXT HOME GAME

After last weeks incredible 2-0 away victory up at Tranmere Rovers, Ian Allinson’s newly promoted side, return to action at Meadow Park this coming Saturday.

Manager Ian Allinson hailed both the players and supporters performances up at Tranmere as exceptional and said “It really was a fantastic effort not only by our players but also our travelling fans… We’ve had long journeys to Eastleigh and Gateshead to cope with in the first week of the season, so to take up around 70 supporters away from home, who didn’t just turn up but sang their hearts out for the players was truly awesome.

Allinson went on “After our opening day victory against Halifax everyone was rightly upbeat and optimistic about the season. However since then we’ve endured three very narrow defeats and though we’ve played well, the bottom line was we lost them all.. Losses can knock your spirit, they can knock your belief and they can knock your confidence but only if you let them.. Myself and my coaching staff haven’t allowed those defeats to affect us or lead to any self doubt and thankfully neither have our players or our fans and as such we all got our reward up at Tranmere”…

Allinson concluded “Woking are next up and this division simply doesn’t get any easier. We will need our supporters to be vocal again Saturday, as Woking sit second in the league having won their last four games. I’m aware we’ve never beaten them in a competitive game but I’ll be telling the players that there’s a first time for everything.. I can see already that our young squad are developing quickly, they are more than capable of causing upsets as we’ve seen and I’m confident they will do themselves and the town proud once again”..
