Boreham Wood under 18s marched into the semi finals of the Brian Hitchins Trophy, with a 6-0 away win against St Margaretsbury.

The difference between the two sides was in truth huge on the night, But worryingly the u/18 and u/19 elite groups success, meant this was the third game in as many days for our Academy, and it promises to be a gruelling run in to the season, as they still fight on six different fronts in both their respective league’s, their league cups and in two prestigious National cup competitions.
Young Woods goals on the night, were scored by Bradley Sach 2, Sorba Thomas , Illiman Diaye , Alex Morgan and Ionut Radu in the comfortable win.

Wood have won this trophy in the past on several occasions and this current crop will be hoping to add there names to previous Wood winners.

U18s Manager Cameron Mawer spoke after the win “We have so many games coming up in a short space of time and we want to win as many of the competitions as we can. So its not been easy for some ofthe boys who have had 3 games in 3 days. We have limited their minutes and had to utilize the squad but the boys were again totally professional today and claimed a decent win.

Mawer added “We recover quickly and go again, as we prepare for three semis and a quarter final in the next few weeks. No success has been achieved yet, but to be in this position is down to the boys to their attitude, discipline and desire, to work hard, to improve collectively and long may that continue “
