Boreham Wood FC are delighted to announce that Academy graduate Ellis Brown has today completed a move to Scottish Championship side Hamilton Academical for an undisclosed fee.
Despite not making a senior appearance at the LV Bet Stadium Meadow Park, the technically gifted midfield player was rewarded with a first team contract after his impressive involvement in our 2020 pre-season campaign.
Ellis had attracted attention from across the Football League, which included a trial period with Derby County, as well as from north of the border, following impressive performances with our Under 18’s and Under 19’s groups at the Wood over the past two seasons. Ellis has spent an extended period training with Scottish Championship side Hamilton Academical and today completes his move to the Accies.
Ellis is immediately available for the Accies and is in contention for a place in Hamilton’s New Year fixture against Queen of the South tomorrow afternoon.
Ellis joins the long list of BW PASE Academy players to move into the professional game, becoming the latest PASE Pro alongside Sorba Thomas and Iliman N’Diaye who earned their transfers into the EFL Championship with Huddersfield Town and into the Premier League with Sheffield United respectively over the past 18-months.
Good luck, Ellis!
