Boreham Wood FC are delighted to announce that Academy goalkeeper Koju Abayomi has been selected for the English Colleges Football Association national squad for the 2022/23 season.

Koju joined the Wood’s renowned BW PASE Academy two years ago and quickly become a regular trainer with the First Team at Meadow Park, featuring on Wood’s bench on a number of occasions this season after being awarded the number 23 shirt at the beginning of the campaign.

Koju joins the illustrious group of no less than 24 Academy players who have represented England at Schools and College level from the BW PASE Academy, following in the footsteps of recent Academy graduates Ben Goodliffe (Sutton United), Sorba Thomas (Huddersfield Town and Wales) and Iliman Ndiaye (Sheffield United and Senegal), to name just a few.

ECFA have their first fixture this Sunday, 27th November against Future Elite Sports Academy, which is their first warm up fixture ahead of their tour to Italy in February 2023. The side then look forward to welcoming Wales and Australia here in the UK next year.

From everyone at Boreham Wood FC and the BW PASE Academy, congratulations Koju on getting selected for the English Colleges Football Association national squad and good luck with your upcoming fixtures.
