Following on from a hard fought 1-all draw with a full strength West Ham United first team squad, Boreham Wood now welcome Stevenage Football Club to Meadow Park this Saturday, 14th July kick off 3.00pm.
Stevenage are currently experiencing the most successful period in the Club’s history. They have won back to back promotions from the Football Conference and League Two, before narrowly missing out on Play-off success in their first attempt in League One. Stevenage pushed Sheffield United in their play-off Semi-final encounter however Gary Smith’s tightly knit side just missed out.
There have been a number changes already this Pre-Season at Broadhall Way, with 5 new faces arriving and a couple moving onto Championship sides. Gary Smith has signed Bondz N’Gala from Yeovil Town, Marcus Haber from St Johnstone, David Gray from Preston North End, Anthony Grant from Southend United and Filipe Morais from Oldham Athletic, whilst Michael Bostwick and Lawrie Wilson have both signed for Championship sides in the forms of Peterborough and Charlton Athletic respectively.
