When the season was curtailed in March, Wood were enjoying their largest home league crowds since its formation in 1948. The feel-good factor had returned to Meadow Park and it finally seemed like the Town were onboard and really starting to get behind their small community Football Club.
We had back then hoped to continue with last season’s amazing £99 season ticket offer for the 2020/21 season, and really boost our Adult/OAP’s season ticket sales to record numbers. However, after the current pandemic and the world we now find ourselves living in, that is just not possible for obvious reasons.
After a Grant Morris led consultation with the Chairman, the Wood Army and our wider supporter groups, there has been an understanding and appreciation of the current crisis. As such the Club and fans have seemingly agreed that a £149.00* Adult/OAP season ticket is still a fantastic offer for the 2020/21 season regardless of what league we are in, as the discounted offer equates to just £6.47 a game for either EFL or National League football.
Initially only 500 season tickets, which equates to around 12.5% of stadium capacity, can be made available on a first come, first served basis, so please do get your application in fast to avoid disappointment.
The Chairman has also advised Grant, that he will be honouring all of the previously agreed offers for our U20 and U16 supporter groups, as well of course as the FREE season tickets to all our U12 supporters who took part in his “tweet for a treat” campaign. Please note in the first instance we will only be processing Adult/OAP season tickets and we will advise in due course on the other age category application process.
These community priced offers are aimed firstly at you our very loyal supporters and in truth, we then hope these amazingly priced offers will help increase and improve our quietly growing home support base.
By getting your season tickets as soon as possible, you will also help with our play off preparations and perhaps even our squad size. Please remember this is a hugely important time in the Club’s history and we hope we’ve got the Town and communities support.
We hope that many of our local football supporters who may have had season tickets with our bigger local professional neighbours will also be encouraged to take up this amazing season ticket offer as it equates to just £6.47 a game and will pay for itself, if you attend just 8 league games, when compared to next seasons match-day entry prices.
The 2020/21 season tickets will go on sale from Monday morning at 10.00am. We will provide further information in the coming days on how you can purchase your season Ticket.
Chairman Danny Hunter commented, “We’ve done our very best to look after everyone with this deal, whilst also honouring all the other age category deals going forward. If this is our time you’ll actually be buying an EFL season ticket, if not, you’re hopefully buying a title challenging National League Club’s season ticket. Either way I think its great value for the family and our supporters seem very pleased with not only the new price but that they have been consulted throughout this process.
