The Wood welcome our biggest and nearest rivals St Albans City this Wednesday, April 24 (7.45pm) in the Hertfordshire Senior Cup Final at Meadow Park.

Luke Garrard’s side will look to retain their Herts Senior Cup title against local rivals St Albans City, who are now managed by our legendary former manager Ian Allinson.

Wood enter the game having secured their National League status for another year in recent weeks, so will be looking to finish the season by winning silverware. Whereas the Saints will enter the game sitting just outside the National League South playoff places, with promotion to the National League still in the forefront of their minds.

What is at stake? Well, that’s simple. Not only a big shiny Herts Senior Cup trophy, but another year of local bragging rights, as the two biggest Non-League clubs from Hertfordshire go head to head.

So, we ask all Wood supporters to get themselves down to Meadow Park. We ask them to bring their friends and family. In previous seasons we’ve created some great sporting atmospheres when taking on the Saints, both home and away. So, we hope we can make a great atmosphere for both sets of players and management.
