Boreham Wood’s under 18s conceded twice late on against Luton Cedars, to draw 2-2 in the Southern Counties Floodlit League.

The youthful side, which featured seven first years, started the match well at London Colney and took the lead through Bailey Stevenson.

There was a trick and a flick from Kai Wint down the left before he sent a beautiful drifted cross into Stevenson, who headed onto the crossbar and in.

The young Wood then deservedly doubled their lead against Luton, when Carlos Simao latched onto Santino Failla’s Cross-field ball. The midfielder slipped around his marker with a step-over and lashed the ball into the bottom right corner.

The home side continued on the offence, but were unable to add to their lead, before Luton scored from a set-piece. A long-ball into the box from a free-kick was snuck home at the back post.

Then, with just two minutes remaining, they were able to sneak in at the back post again at a corner and poke the ball home.
