In February 2020 Adam May signed for Boreham Wood on loan from Portsmouth until the rest of the season and offers his services to Luke Garrard as a box-to-box central Midfielder.
May made his League Two debut for Portsmouth as an 18-year-old in April 2015 and then went on to sign his first professional contract in August, being promoted to the First Team squad.
Following May signing his first professional contract, he went on loan to Gosport Borough for one month where he made four appearances.
After this, May went on loan to Sutton United in the National League and played a regular role as a 19-year-old where he made 20 appearances. These impressive performances meant he would start the 2017/18 season playing regular football at his parent club Portsmouth as Kenny Jackett wanted to push the youth players for more first team minutes.
May then signed for Aldershot Town at the start of the 2018/19 campaign on loan, where he made 12 appearances for the club before being recalled by Portsmouth.
The 22-year-old then signed a loan deal at Swindon Town at the start of this season’s campaign before he was again recalled by Portsmouth in January, which then saw him make a move to Meadow Park, where we welcome May’s services until the end of the season.
