Boreham Wood Football Club are delighted to announce the first of its pre-season games on Wednesday 10th July, with the return of a West Ham United first team squad, Kick off 7.30pm. The fixture forms part of the transfer that saw young Wood prodigy Pelly Ruddock sign a 3 year professional contract with the famous East end club.

Also returning are John Still’s Luton Town on the 13th of July, an illustrious Arsenal XI on Saturday, 20th of July. Then Brentford will be the visitors on Tuesday, 23rd of July after good relationships were forged when the Bees came to Meadow Park in this Season’s F.A. Cup.

Dates are also now being finalised for Watford, Stevenage and Reading so a busy summer is envisaged for the club. Manager Ian Allinson said “you have to hand it to our Chairman, every year he pulls off these marquis games against some top clubs and these clubs obviously have all our thanks for agreeing to come to us. It’s also testament to our Groundsman, that the surface he prepares is top notch, which is also an attraction. He concluded.
