Boreham Wood can confirm that our Herts Senior Cup Semi-final clash at home to Kings Langley, will be played on Monday, February 12 (7.45pm).

The Wood earned their place in the semi-final of the competition with a dominant 3-0 victory away at Hitchin Town.

The comfortable win was helped with an early goal from Shaun Jeffers, and two further goals from Danny Woodards and Michael Folivi, as Luke Garrard fielded a strong side for the tie, and ran out worthy winners.

Opponents Kings Langley, of the Southern Premier League, also won their quarter-final 3-0, with a relatively easy win at Ware.

Historically, it will be Boreham Wood’s third meeting with Kings Langley, the last dating as far back at 1966, in the FA Amateur Cup.

Wood though will start as favourites and have won this competition a number of times over the years. The most recent coming in 2013/14, with a penalty shootout win over Bishop’s Stortford at the County ground.

If the side do manage to secure yet another semi-final win, then it will be the club’s eighth HSC cup final appearance, during present Chairman Danny Hunter’s tenure.

Hunter said: “Any semi-final is going to be tough and Kings Langley will come to Meadow Park and have nothing to lose. And Luke and the dressing room want to give our supporters a cup final to look forward to, so I know they will take the competition seriously. And if we perform as we can, then I fully expect us to get to the eighth HSC final in my time here – and having lost four of those finals, I would dearly love the boys to go and win me a fourth.”

Entrance fees for the game are as follows: Adults and OAPs £10; Under 16s £5; under 12’s £2. So, make sure that you get down to Meadow Park on Monday, February 12 (7.45pm) and cheer your local side on, as they look to reach this year’s HSC final.
