Boreham Wood Football Club have been honoured this week by the Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council – who have asked us to lead the annual civic parade this Saturday, June 16, in recognition of not only our 70th anniversary year, but the memorable season that we as a club have just had.

Of course, it was an honour that we couldn’t possibly turn down and the club will be using an open top double decker bus, bedecked in our club colours of black and white. We will also have our players, management team, our staff, academy and families on board.

As a club, this will also give us a chance to thank our ever growing Wood Army, the supporters that travelled to Wembley in their thousands, and of course the whole community who have supported the club throughout last season and in the past.

The parade will start at 1.30pm from Brooke Road (so come and say hello) and will proceed through the town centre. It will then head down Theobald Street, turning right into Aycliffe Road, turning right again into Leeming Road and then head back down Brook Road.

So if you’re out and about, having a shop, or in the area, we look forward to seeing you all – please give us a cheer and a wave, and of course, can we say from the bottom of our hearts, thank you all once again for your continued support.
