TYRELL MILLER-RODNEY

Boreham Wood Football Club are delighted to announce the signature of midfielder Tyrell Miller-Rodney on a loan, from our good friends at Brentford FC.

The powerful and combative midfield player, joined the Bee’s on a Scholarship in 2011, coming through the Bee’s youth ranks, before signing his first professional deal in the summer of 2013. After impressing in the U21 development league, Tyrell was rewarded with a one year contract extension keeping him at Griffin Park until the summer of 2015.

Miller-Rodney has played 11 development squad games and made 9 appearances in the U21 development league. His first taste of first team action came as an unused sub in Brentford’s Capital One Cup defeat at Derby County in August 2014.

Tyrell also had a very successful loan spell at Maidenhead United last season, where his performances impressed many at our level and its where he first came on to the Boreham Wood scouting radar.

Expressing his delight at the signing Wood Gaffer Ian Allinson Said “I’m very happy to have secured the signing of Tyrell, as he did have other clubs vying for his signature. We are now entering the business end of the season and we will certainly need a strong squad of quality players, who are fresh, mentally tough and ambitious if we are to give ourselves a chance of achieving promotion.
